Sunbird Records is delighted to present Kind Hearted Thieves a cinematic folk rock(grunge) band, fronted by singer songwriter Jamie whose voice roars like the sea on a stormy, winter night in their hometown of Blackpool, England. His powerful & haunting tones have been likened to musical greats Eddie Vedder & Nick Drake.

​KHT’s anthemic folk rock sound first emerged with 2020 debut single ‘Nevermoor’ telling the tale of a futuristic, dystopian landscape left broken & barren by human greed.

​It’s haunting, anthemic & evokes a life affirming mood in a way that hasn’t been done since Disturbed’s blistering cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic ‘The Sound of Silence’

The music video notched up 1.5 million views on Facebook & even got the nod from one of KHT's biggest musical influences Frank Turner.

Early 2021 saw KHT release the hotly anticipated follow up single ‘Favour The Bold’. With its lyrical theme inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art form of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold (built on the idea that embracing flaws and imperfections, create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art) - the single received a glowing response from his loyal army of fans & the huge demand for a full length release was proven when they smashed through their album crowdfunding goal. Raising over £10k.

During the recording of their debut album Kind Hearted Thieves began working with Grammy Award Winning Grunge Legend, Dave Abbruzzese (Pearl Jam, Peter Cornell, IMFs, Pseutopia, GRO, and many more….). Dave laid his signature drums down on 3 of their tracks, mixed 4 of the songs and even managed to bring in a number of other prominent names. Guitarist Jeff Nolan (Scott Weiland, Ginger Baker….) provided electric guitar on Kingdom of Ash and the whole album was mastered by the exceptionally talented mastering engineer Ludwing Diaz.

David Abbruzzese is a huge name in Grunge music and for a band that promotes themselves as Folk Grunge, this is a major sign of approval.

‘Love & Other Curses- The Maxim of Societal Enigma’, the debut album from Kind Hearted Thieves is a soul-shaking, cinematic journey of achingly honest storytelling. With distinctly raw, soulful vocals, further enhanced by the supporting bands epic soundscaping. This collection of songs is KHT's most emotive and inspiring work yet.
